I don't know how I would manage my account
on Pinterest without it, On Pinterest, it's a normal practice
to post 15 to 25 pins a day. And like on some other platforms like Instagram or Facebook, we are
supposed to post on Pinterest a lot. If you have other things to do during the
day, you need a solution for Pinterest. Well, I can tell you I definitely have A lot going on in my life
and in my business. And what helps me still be active
and Pinterest is Tailwind scheduler. Hi, I'm Anastasia AnastasiaBlogger.com, I'm a Pinterest marketing expert,
and I share my Pinterest tips On Thursdays, if that's what you want
to learn about, then subscribe and hit The bell button to get notified
when my new videos go live. If you've been following my channel For a while, you might have watched
my first video about Tailwind. I published it about a year ago. But things are changing so fast. In online marketing world, Tailwind has updated lots of features
to align with the new best practices On Pinterest this year
since the previous tutorial was made In the old interface of Tailwind
and didn't have some of the new features. I guess now it's the time to record
a new tutorial for you guys. Just in a side note, if you were wondering Why I was specifically used to and not
some other schedulers, Something that allows you scheduling
on multiple social media platforms, I know which tools are on your mind
when you're asking this question. And this tools might be great for all
the other platforms, but because Pinterest Is so different and you have to save pins
so many times a day, All the other tools simply are not
suitable for Pinterest marketing. Tailwind was designed with Pinterest Marketing in mind, and it offers
features that really can save you time. When I show you some of those features In my tutorial later in this video,
you will see what I mean. You can also use tailwind for Instagram, By the way, but that's not
the topic of this video today.
It's also important to note before we move On, that Tailwind is
an official Pinterest partner. There is a special page with all The authorized Pinterest partners
and Tailwind team works very closely With Pinterest to make sure that all
the practices that the tool allows you To make are in line with spam
policies on Pinterest. So let's switch to my screen now and see
how you can get started with Tailwind when You want to create a tailwind accounting
to go to Tailwind app dot com directly. Or if you'd like to use my referral link
and get one month for free of tailwind, I will give you that link
in the description below this video. So once you get to this homepage, you'll
see here there's a dashboard button. But if you're just starting your account,
that's not what you need to use. You can sign up with Pinterest
and with Instagram account. In our case, we're looking
for Pinterest marketing tips. So I will click on Sign Up with Pinterest. And in order for you to see a window like
this, you need to be already logged In into your Pinterest
account in the same browser. If you're not, it will prompt a window
where you can log into your Pinterest Account and then you will
click on give access. And so once you are inside Tailwind account, The first thing I want I want to recommend
you to do is look into your schedule. It's right here under publisher tools. You will find your schedule. Why is it important? Because when you're just creating The account, the time zone will
be set based on your IP address. So if you're traveling in Asia, For example,
but your audience is in the United States, Or even if you live in Asia or if you live
in Europe and the main audience you want To attract from Pinterest is
in the United States, Then I would highly recommend edit your
time zone and set it to one Of the American time zones because it's
important on Pinterest to save your repins In the times when your audience
is actually on the platform. And I get this question quite often,
so I'm going to cover it here.
Right now it's what is the best
time to save pins on Pinterest? So for my account and my experience
and based on my Google analytics, I get the highest traffic from Pinterest
around nine to 10 p.m. Eastern Time. That's how my time zone is set
in Tailwind and then Google Analytics. And so I'm synchronizing all the tools
and I made sure that I have the same time Zone in both Day one
and in Google Analytics. So for me it's from nine to 10 p.m. But Actually it could be a broader window
between maybe seven to 11 p.m.. And it's not only East because America is a big country
and there are many time zones. But why is it these hours is because
usually when people come home from work, They have more time to spend it
on Pinterest to get some inspiration. It's basically just some form Of meditation, let's call
it this way for people. Just come to Pinterest and scroll through The feed and look for some
ideas for the future holidays or basically Anything they're interested
in to save to their boards. When you go to Publisher Tools,
there's one tab that's called drafts. That's where you can upload your images
to create new Repins using tailwind. But that's not the only way how
you can create Repins on tailwind. So from here, if you look carefully what
is suggested here, you will see that Damien actually has iOS and Android app,
but most of the users are on Chrome Extension and including me, because
the application is pretty heavy, Especially if you have too many being
scheduled in advance by too many repins I Mean something around five
hundred or more pins anyway. Chrome extension is considered the most Stable and the recommended basically the
recommended extension by Tailwind itself. But they also have extensions for Mozilla, Firefox and Safari, but I'm not
sure if they are always up to date. So if anything doesn't work on your Computer or if Tailwind is getting slow or
something is wrong and you're not sure why It's not working,
it's always worth to to check the latest Version of Chrome extension and try to see
if that feature works fine in Chrome. So why I'm even talking about this chrome
extension is because
What it allows you to do is by using
the simple button on the right top corner Right there,
you are able to save any images that you See on the Internet, on any sites,
including your own side. Let me just show you how it works. If we go to my site and I will click
on one of the articles so we can see What kind of images we
can save from this post. If we just click on the Tailwind button. So we have here three different images. I would save only the vertical ones. I have the prefilled pin
descriptions over here. That's because I'm using the GROW plugin
by MediaVine. Now I talk about this plug in and show all
the settings you can use for the best Optimization of your content and your
website for Pinterest platform. And that information you can find In my Pinterest SEO Traffic Secrets course
you'll find a link to it in the top right Corner and in the description
below this video. Anyway, so I have this Pre-fill Description's and when I pick one
of the images, I will click in the bottom Right corner on the button go
schedule and that's what happens. You will see a popup window
and exactly what happens right here. You probably will see with your
with your chrome extension as well. Pretty often, unfortunately,
it looks like a glitch. It's pretty common that from the first Attempt when you use this button,
the pin will not be fetched. I will close this window will try again. Now, I've tried the second
time and it worked this way. That's how it's going to look If the image is actually fetched
by the application in this popup window. And what do you need to do here is Basically you need to verify
that everything is good in your title. I actually want to remove the the year Here because maybe this article will
be still in my site a year later. And I don't want this pin to stay
on the platform With this 2020 for much longer
because I will not be able to edit this
Pin in the future once it's
getting saved with this title. So I make sure that the description is
OK and then I can save it to Tribes'. I will talk a little bit later about
the tribes, but this is basically The point and the place where you
can add your repins to tribes. It's right here and then you will choose One of the tribes, the most relevant
ones for this type of content. And then you can also verify that the link Of the post is correct,
that it goes to the exact URL where you Wanted to go, and then you can choose some
of the boards that are also relevant. So in my case,
it's something about Pinterest. I will just start typing the title Of the board and it pop up the first board
Pinterest types and then I can maybe Select I have actually a list of boards
about with Pinterest. I will select a list of boards and I will Tell you how you can create
them in just a few moments. So we have here selected the boards
and now we're going to talk about one Of this new features that they
implement on their tool this year. So the the feature is Basically a spam safeguard that is showing You what you might be doing
wrong with your repins. And it's basically preventing you
from doing anything spammy, Anything outside of the best
recommended practices on Pinterest. So when you click on you see here,
there's some orange warnings. Why is that? It's because I probably saved some pins From the same page and it tells me
that I saved them four months ago. Imagine I just created a fresh bean And new image, and I know
for sure that's new. I know that I've never saved it. With a link to this page, though, it's
always safe to create fresh beans and. Even if I saved it a month ago, The previous one, and now I have
a new version, I can save it safely. But Tailwind will anyway give you a warning Because the platform doesn't know
exactly which pin you used previously.
Now, the next step, before you even think About clicking on this ad to you,
now you need to use Intervale. It's a very important feature on Tailwind
that you don't want to miss this step Because it allows you to actually stay
safe and within The recommended best practices,
because you're going to repeat the same Basically the same image
to several boards on your account. All those boards must be relevant
to the to the to the pin. And if I show you actually some more Boards, if I choose, for example,
whatever, just one more board. One more board doesn't work. Let's say I will save to two more boards. What happens now? Daylon is showing us the second warning. And this warning is about
the number of boards on the list. So we don't want to save more than 10
to save the spin to more than 10 boards. So I have to remove those additional
towards that I just added. So it always makes sense to have on your Board list about five or maximum
10 boards relevant to the spin. So now I'm going to set the interval. You can set it or change
it before you publish. And the minimum interval should be two
days you see here marked with a red color. So if you go below two days,
it's already a little bit too pushy. So you want to keep it on a minimum of two
days interval or even maybe more days. And then once you selected an interval,
you can also make sure that your pins are Saved around 9pm,
8pm or something like that. Basically, it has to be in the evening.
If your audience, Audiences in the United States,
it has to be in the evening for them. And then you will just have a look quickly
at your time selected by the store. If you want to stay always within the same Time frame around the evening,
you have to choose three days. Exactly.
You know, so it doesn't It doesn't move away to far three,
three days or three days. And it's difficult sometimes
to to pick the exact three days. So it can be three days in one hour.
And you'll see that most of the times
are now around p.m. evening. And then I will extend that interval. I'm not going to do it now
because I already saved the spin. But I will click set interval and all The spins will go where
they will go to my schedule. Let me show you where the schedule is. So I'm still in the publisher tab and I Click on scheduled pins
and you will see here that Right now I didn't save them or I didn't
schedule those pins, but they would appear Right here and they would be
basically with the selected interval. So one pin would be today and another
would show up just in two days. And now I'm going to talk
about the board lists. That's the feature that I mentioned
that it's so cool and special about Tailend because you'll not find it in any
other tools for a social media scheduling. So Pinterest is so unique in a way That you can save your repins to several
boards and that's what happens here. So when you have a board list,
you don't have to manually select every Time a specific board and when you
specific board or specific boards, When you want to save it to five or ten
boards, you already have a predefined set Of boards that are based on usually
on the same topic or on the same focus Keyword that they have
in the title of the boards. So we are looking, for example, At blogging
boards or let me show you blogging group Boards that I have or may be
what else, a low carb, low carb boards. I have about four
boards just for this topic. So how to create a board list? You will click on this icon on Plus Icon
and then you just need to give it a name And then you start selecting
the specific boards that you want. So imagine that I want to create
a list for affiliate marketing. I will just choose a few words
marketing, affiliate marketing. And if I had more boards with affiliate Marketing as a keyword is a focus keyword,
I would just keep selecting those boards. I already showed you one
of the ways how you can save pins. It's by using this icon in the top
right corner of your browser.
You can also see that if you scroll down At the bottom of each image on your side,
you will also have this button, Similar button, and it will
work in a similar way. After you click there, it will
show up in the pop up window. Another way is by uploading your. Images to the drafts, So we are again in the publisher tools
and then we are in drafts, And now if you want to upload these images
from your computer and create pins this Way, you can just click on create new
pin this button on the right top corner. So what you need to do here,
you just click on upload photos and videos And it will pop up a window to upload
from your any folder on your computer And in other ways just to open any folder
on your computer in a separate window And just drag and drop
to this window in drafts. And the images, once they are uploaded,
they will have instead of the euro here, They will the URL of the specific page
where you want to link, They will automatically put
the homepage of your site. So you want to make sure that you added Manually this link to make sure that it
doesn't go to your homepage, But that it goes to the exact
page that you want to link to. There are other things that you want
to also use it on Tailwind, Primarily its tribes,
its communities of content creators. I would say website owners, bloggers, Sometimes it's brands and companies
that also run their Pinterest accounts And they want to share each
other's content on Pinterest. So when you submit something to tell An tribes' you're not sending this
directly to Pinterest, You're just keeping it inside this
communities of content creators. And then if someone likes your
opinions and they want to share it On their account, then they
will go to certain tribes. Tribes are usually based on the topics And so they will go to tribes that are,
let's say, around Ikki tonight or around Blogging topic, and then they will
find the latest submitted repins. Or if they like to search,
there is also a search function. You can also search
for some specific keywords.
Let's say you want to fill one of your new
boards that you created on your profile And you want to also reciprocate
in tribes at the same time. So what do you need to do is basically Just search for the keyword you want
to use as the main focus keyword On that board and then all the pins
that that will be shown, They should be relevant to the keyboard
and then you can save right from here, Not save actually add to the queue because
it's just going to the queue and filling The empty slots that you
have in your daily schedule. And if you have too many
slots, let's say today and tomorrow, The first thing that will happen, it will
occupy all the empty slots for today. It will not distribute them evenly between All the future days that you
have in your schedule. I have actually a separate video On my channel dedicated
specifically to Tailwind Tribes. So you can watch it. I'll give you a link
in the top right corner. In the description below this video, There is another feature
that I often get asked about. It's also on their publisher tools. It's called SmartLoop Feature. I personally don't rely heavily on this SmartLoop feature because
basically what it does is just repins your Old pins to the board
to which you already save them. And that's not something that Pinterest
really recommends doing often. So I use this SmartLoop feature only
for the pins that are either seasonal, Like the I repeat them once a year or
maybe some beans that are super popular. And I want to show them to my new Followers once in four to six months so
I can add this beans to the smart loops. And basically, since SmartLoop feature
has some limitations, it's not unlimited. So you will find out that you cannot save Way too many beans there if you are not
going to pay for an unlimited option. If you're using the basic option of 15 per month or if it's an annual plan,
it's ten dollars per month, Then you will have a limited number
of beans that you can add to the SmartLoop.
Basically, in my experience, SmartLoop
doesn't bring me that much traffic. I think tribes work way better as A feature for generating
additional traffic from Pinterest. And then another thing that's very unique
about Tailwind is that it has this Detailed insights or analytics about your
Pinterest account, which you will not find In any other
tools that are out there that are just Working for all the social
media platforms. So here in the inside step,
you will see your profile performance. You can then
track what's going on with how many repins You're getting, how many
bins you're getting. You can track the insides
for your specific boards. So basically this allows you
to filter the boards by. The number of Repins or the number
of followers you can just click on this Icons over here and it will filter based
on, for example, the Repins count. So this is a group board.
It's my board. And this is a pretty popular
group board that I'm in. And it works this way that it has
seven over seven million Repins. So basically you can go over all of this Insight's inside Talin account and you
will find out that not all of this data is Even available on Pinterest itself,
which makes this tool really unique And helpful for Pinterest content creators
in terms of understanding what kind Of traffic you're getting and how
it works for your account. If you want to dive deeper into all The details and learn how to use Tailwind
